Coaching and Voucher Program Overview
The Mitchell Kapor Foundation is partnering with CompassPoint Nonprofit Services to provide access to one-on-one coaching services and vouchers for CompassPoint one-day workshops. There were only three consulting slots available, which have all been taken. We initially offered 20 total workshop vouchers, and there are no vouchers remaining. This service is only available to key partner organizations with priority given to organizations with budgets of $750,000 or below. All requests for workshop vouchers must be submitted and/or approved by an executive director. However, any staff person can be named as the recipient of the voucher or coaching services.
Coaching Application Process
We selected three key partner organizations to work with CompassPoint's highly experienced and skilled consultants from April to October for up to 50 hours of coaching support. The areas of organizational development that can be addressed include Strategic Planning, Finance and Fiscal Management, Board Development, and Succession/Transition Planning.
The deadline for this program passed on Friday, March 18th. No applications are currently being accepted.
Workshop Voucher Process
There are only 10 remaining vouchers available for this program with priority given to key partner organizations with budgets of $750,000 or below. The vouchers are available for one-day workshops only, and requests must be submitted at least one week before the designated class. Only one voucher permitted per person.
Once you’ve identified the CompassPoint workshop you or your staff member would like to attend:
- Complete a CompassPoint class registration form (leave the payment area blank).
- Fax it to Tiffany Price, Director of Assistance & Advising. Fax number: 415.946.3001. Note: All requests from staff other than the executive director must be accompanied by a letter signed by the executive director approving the request.
- If the workshop is approved, your registration form will be forwarded to CompassPoint for processing. (Please do not send your registration to CompassPoint.)
- CompassPoint will contact you to confirm your registration status. If you do not receive confirmation by email or phone, you are not registered.
- If you need to cancel an approved class or do not show up for class, your voucher will be suspended and added back into the general pool. You will have to reapply to be considered for another class.
Approval of workshop requests are at the discretion of Mitchell Kapor Foundation staff and are available on a first-come-first-served basis through the end of 2011.
If you have questions about the workshop voucher program, please contact the Director of Assistance & Advising.
